Artist’s statement
Throwing is like a magic performance. Every step is quick and short and it requires a high sensitivity to the condition of clay. In this series, I try to let go the manipulation and the idea of making a desire form but relax myself during the process of throwing. This awareness cooperated with a pleasant, relax noticing of the response of the soft clay is very similar to meditation. This softness is a result of the dialogue with the clay.
