Hold‧30mins

In the art project < Hold‧30mins> Siu wants to share the “Awareness” she experiences in her meditation practice. She makes use of the properties of plaster of paris in the project; when plaster is mixed with water, it becomes hard and solid and releases warmth. Participants of the project use touch to sense intensively the changes of plaster. The process and sharing are documented.

The furniture used in the project is set in the exhibition. Viewers can use touch to feel the concealed plaster, tracing its form, its formation and its master. With successively moving and lifting, holding and touching, the plaster will be broken up to chips and gradually back to its powder form.
